Gas Gathering Systems and Oil Production Facilities by EN-FAB Inc
EN-FAB Inc delivers gas gathering systems and oil production facilities with expert design, fabrication, and installation to improve efficiency, reliability, and field performance.
Accuracy At Each Injector Well
EN-FAB Portable Well Test Separator deliver accurate repeatable results and significantly lower well testing costs as one system can be used to test many wells.
Proper evaluation of a large producing field with numerous wells requires accurate and frequent well tests. These tests allow an operator to optimize a field’s performance by shutting-in wells, working them over, or stimulating them.
Conventional well testing involves gravity separation of the production stream into oil, water, and gas. This requires pumps, tanks, heaters, and pressure vessels and several hours of testing for each well.
Portable well testing separators provides many advantages and benefits including:
- Lower capital cost vs. conventional automatic well test facilities.
- One portable unit can test a large number of wells more frequently, reducing the cost per well test.
- Provides accurate measurement of steam quality and mass flow rate at remote field points.
- Production problems can be detected quickly, preventing unnecessary workovers.
- Improved model studies increase the ability to optimize recovery from thermal reservoirs.
- Reduced fuel requirements by optimizing the delivery of steam.
- Confirmation of well performance
- Field productivity improvements
EN-FAB desalters can help prevent expensive shutdowns by providing fast process recovery following upsets and are proven to be ideal for desalting challenging, crude grades.
When crude oil is brought to the surface by whatever means, it contains many undesirable impurities, including salts, suspended solids and water soluble trace metals/slits, iron oxides, sand etc. The EN-FAB desalter provides efficient separation of undesirable impurities, suspended in crude feedstocks.
The salt content in the crude oil varies depending on source of the crude oil. When a mixture from many crude oil sources is processed in refinery, the salt content can vary greatly.
The Purpose of Desalting
- EN-FAB desalters efficiently remove undesirable impurities, especially salts and water, from crude oil prior to distillation.
- Inorganic salts can become decomposed in crude oil preheat exchangers and heaters. As a result, hydrogen chloride gas is formed which condenses to liquid hydrochloric acid at overhead system of the distillation column, damaging expensive internals and downstream equipment.
- Sand or silt can cause significant damage due to abrasion or erosion to pumps, pipelines, etc.
- The calcium naphthanate compound in the crude unit residue stream, if not removed can result in the production of lower grade coke.
- To remove Metals which may poison the Reformer Catalyst.
- To avoid lengthy and expensive plant shut downs and achieve more then average Plant Life.
